to complete this exercise.
To see where my changes took place, I selected the globe in the top left icon to transition to the Environment Overview page. I then selected Hosts and Clusters, expanded the vSphere World object, and selected my vCenter object called vc-cap-a.
The Summary tab is now showing the Workload Placement dashboard that I had previously created. In this dashboard, this is showing the top alerts for this specific object using the alerts widget as well as all of the descending child objects capacity information. The Capacity Utilization widget will show you the objects that are Underutilized, Optimal, or Overutilized.
In conclusion, you can change the Summary tab for any object type. If you want to use your custom dashboard or a different out of the box dashboards better, then feel free to change the Summary tab as needed. If you like the default summary page, then you don’t need to change anything.
